If in Christ we have hope in this life only, we are of all people most to be pitied. But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. 1 Corinthians 15:17-22 (ESV) Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. Meaning: This verse highlights the origin of sin and death entering the world through Adam's disobedience, leading to its consequences affecting all humanity. Meaning: This verse succinctly outlines God’s expectations for us in our walk with Him: practicing justice, loving kindness, and maintaining humility.
