Galatians 5:1 (ESV) 7 Steps to Freedom Admit you’re trapped in sin and repent. Recognize: the battle is won or lost in your mind. Meditate on Scripture. Rewire your mind. Starve the flesh. Pre-Decide. Find accountability. Remember the priority of pursuit. So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart. 2 Timothy 2:22 (ESV) And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. 16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. Develop Accountability Relationships: Find a trusted friend or group with which to share your struggles and pray together. James emphasizes the power of community in healing and growth. 3. Pursue Righteousness: Actively seek opportunities to engage in godly activities—whether through serving others, dedicating time to study Scripture, or participating in church groups that nurture spiritual growth. 4. Pray and Confess Regularly: Incorporate confession and prayer into your spiritual discipline, fostering a sense of openness and healing. Ask others to pray for you, creating a support system that aids in your journey. 5. Visualize Your Goals: Regularly remind yourself of the virtues you wish to pursue and envision yourself successfully fleeing from temptation.
